Attracting More Clients, Revenue, & Success

Ever noticed how positive people tend to attract good fortune, opportunities, and similarly upbeat individuals into their lives…

While negative people seem to constantly encounter setbacks, challenges, and pessimism?

It’s almost like we’re walking magnets. 🧲

What we focus on, the energy we exude—Positive or negative—Acts as a beacon, attracting similar energies and outcomes into our lives. If you're charged with positivity, you draw in positive experiences and opportunities (and vice versa).

This concept isn't new. In fact, it's deeply rooted in history and wisdom. You’ll see what I mean in the following biblical story of Caleb and Joshua. 👇

Moses sent twelve spies to scout the land of Canaan (now known as Israel), which G-d had promised to the Israelites. Upon their return, ten of the spies reported that the land, while fertile, was inhabited by giants and would be “impossible” to conquer. This caused the Israelite community to panic and lose faith in G-d's promise.

However, Caleb and Joshua, the two remaining, maintained their faith and positivity. They didn’t ignore the difficulties but chose to focus on the promise and potential of the land.

Their positive outlook was not just wishful thinking; it was grounded in their faith and trust that with the right mindset and divine support, they could overcome ANY obstacle.

What happened next was truly remarkable…

While the rest of the spies were condemned to die in the desert due to their lack of faith, G-d rewarded Caleb and Joshua due to their faith, and they were the ONLY adults from their generation allowed to enter the Promised Land.

(Numbers 14:30, Numbers 26:65, Joshua 14:6-14).

Over the past 14 years, I've seen this EXACT principle play out at Business Nitrogen.

We’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of clients. Time after time, I’ve noticed those who approach their ventures with a mindset similar to Caleb and Joshua's—(Filled with positivity and a “can-do” attitude)—Tend to see the MOST growth and success.

These are the clients who, despite the inevitable challenges and "giants" in their path, choose to focus and double down on achieving their business’s full potential.

They understand that obstacles are merely opportunities in disguise, meant to be overcome, NOT reasons to retreat or quickly switch course before realizing the success in continued testing.

On the other hand, I've also encountered people who are a bit more pessimistic…Those who see the glass half empty and mainly focus on what can (and inherently will) go wrong, rather than the positive future they want to create.

Don’t get me wrong, I know you need to look at all sides of a situation (the good, the possible bad, and the ugly).

…But don’t let the bad and ugly cloud your vision. Instead, use what can go wrong to plan what you will do should it happen. That way, you’ll have already turned the negative into positive learning moments and have your next steps ready to go.

So at the end of the day, the energy and focus you bring to your projects, the way you choose to see the world—(Half full or half empty)—Can significantly influence how quickly and easily your business can grow.

That's why, at Business Nitrogen, we prioritize partnering with those who look to make the most of every situation, who see challenges as stepping stones rather than stumbling blocks.

So as you and I continue building our businesses this week, let’s challenge ourselves to adopt a mindset of positivity and expectancy of good. Instead of worrying about what could go wrong, let's start asking ourselves:

  • What if things go right?
  • How many more lives can we positively impact?
  • How much more growth can we achieve?

Because sometimes, the ONLY thing holding you back from scaling your business 10X is yourself.

It's not the market, not the competition, not even the challenges that come your way—It's the mindset that either limits you or liberates you. If you think too small, if you let fear dictate your decisions, you won’t attract the success you hoped for (and that I know you deserve).

To your success,

David

The Enemy of Done

We’re often called the big picture thinkers… the innovators… the ideators… the visionaries…

One of the big things that quickly deflate our excitement after we bring new ideas to our teams to implement is the speed at which they are implemented.

I’ll admit it…I was completely unrealistic in my expectations as far as the time and energy it took to get projects from concept to completion.

It was only until my project manager got on a video call with me and showed me exactly all the steps and moving parts involved in getting just one of these projects tasked, implemented, tested and then launched.

BTW: Highly suggest you do this at some point with your project manager. Not only is it a huge eye-opening experience…

  • You’ll gain a clearer understanding of what it really takes to get a project off the ground.
  • Knowing this information will give you a better insight when it comes to establishing project priority levels with your team.
  • You’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation for your team and everything they do that goes into supporting you and your vision.

Doing this also gives you and your team the opportunity to figure out how to stream-line processes so projects can always be completed on time.

Of course there is very little we can do when it comes to manipulating the mechanics involved in each individual project, but there are a few areas that are well within our control.

One of the biggest mistakes we make that adds time to the clock is the idea that it has to be perfect.

Sometimes we strive for perfection rather than focusing on just getting it out the door and adjusting from there.

It’s all about movement…STOP getting hung up on the little things that aren’t going to matter tomorrow.

You know as well as I do that tomorrow’s idea will always trump the idea you have today…

Everyday you’ll discover something new, and you’ll see something you want to change.

Whatever you envision as “perfect” right now is irrelevant because it will change.

It will continually evolve.

The key is to create the momentum and just get it out there!

Then you can refine, adjust and improve.

Perfection is dangerous because it also causes deadlines to move. This of course results in  exactly what we don’t want.

Delays.

Whether you want to hear it or not, another BIG cause of the delays we hate so much is US

How often is a project held up because your team is waiting on you to get them what they need?

Maybe it's a video you promised you’d record.

Maybe it's an approval you need to make, or a decision that’s still up in the air.

From my point of view (and remember, I’ve seen the view from both sides), you have two choices (if you truly want to solve this particular problem)

Choice #1: Figure out a way to make the necessary changes to make it happen.  Sometimes it’s as simple as adding time to your calendar to knock it out.

For me, if it’s not scheduled it doesn’t exist.

Period.

Choice #2: Get OUT of your own way. As Entrepreneurs, we love to have our hands in, well just about everything.

Most Entrepreneurs I know find it necessary to micromanage their team. It’s hard for us to “let go” and give our team the autonomy to do what we’ve hired them to do. This is a big hurdle for most business owners who want to grow and scale their companies.

They just find it hard to trust.

But just as “Perfect is the enemy of done”, “Micromanaging is the enemy of growth”.

There comes a time when you must allow the team you put in place to do their jobs.

Empower them to take ownership.

Give them the support they need only when they truly need it.

With that, never forget how important clarity is when it comes to communicating with your team about your ideas and vision.

As leaders, it’s our job to be clear and intentional when it comes to the long-term goal we want to achieve.

As always, simply comment below or message me if you want to chat and brainstorm ways to take your business to the next level.

To your success,
